Santa Fe Foodies

Where the Locals Go

Beer, Cocktails & Wine

There’s nothing better than ending a day in Santa Fe while you sit outside, sipping an adult beverage and watching another magnificent sunset. There’s plenty of sipping spots, but these are some of the best.

  • 315 Restaurant & Wine Bar—This modern French restaurant has a long history of making great food and everyone goes for the fresh oysters and classic French dishes like steak frites, mussels, and grilled branzino. Popular mentions from the group: Oysters No official happy hour anymore but they have a gorgeous bar and lounge area.
  • Ahmyo Wine Garden— A gorgeous Canyon Road hideaway with a focus on the NM wines of Vivac and Gruet. Delectable munchies, original art, live music and a beautiful walking sculpture garden.
  • Altar Spirits—Craft Distillery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Featuring tours, tastings, cocktail bar and bottle shop.
  • Andiamo Santa Fe— Dining at Andiamo is a simple experience and well loved by locals. Italian inspired cuisine, but as food is born of the region, they work to stay true to their relationships with local growers. For that reason, the have continuously nurtured a strong connection between the Santa Fe Farmers Market and their own kitchen — melding indigenous foods whenever possible, with key Italian imports. Favorites from the group: Chicken Parmigiana
  • Arroyo Vino— Relaxed bistro & wine shop serving a refined New American menu sourced from its kitchen garden. Special Mentions: Outdoor seating. Solo Dining
  • Atrisco’s— This third-generation restaurant family also owns Tomasita's and this neighborhood restaurant and bar is always busy. A casual spot to belly up to the bar and make some new friends. Open Early at 8AM Saturdays & Sundays.
  • Beer Creek Brewing— The folks at Beer Creek have quickly earned a loyal following. Is it because they brew some really kick butt beer? Is it the pizzas, which are consistently ranked among the best in the area? Is it the scenic mountain views from their massive patio just off of the Turquoise Trail (Highway 14)? Or maybe it's the laid-back desert vibe, owners, staff that makes you feel like you are just hanging with the gang? Whatever it is, they have quickly become a locals favorite.
  • Boxcar—The Boxcar has quickly become a favorite spot for casual dining and drinking in a casual bar atmosphere. They have surprised locals by serving food that rises above what one would consider typical bar food. Pretty much everything on the menu is very good. Live music and D.J.'s are slowly making a post COVID return as well.
  • Capitol Grill Santa Fe— Fresh, New American cuisine at affordable prices.
