Lunch
When the midday slump hits, it’s time to refuel and there are plenty of lunch spots to nourish and entertain us all.
Bruno’s-Just off Paseo de Peralta is this golden gem of a place that has a real wood-burning pizza oven. Go for a slice for $5 or get a whole pie. Top pizza maker Vincenzo is the real deal.
Henry and the Fish—Located on San Francisco Street, this cozy spot offers a variety of healthy options for breakfast and lunch. Be sure and get one of their homemade cookies for an afternoon treat.
Mucho Gusto-This restaurant is cornered away in the Harvey Center off Paseo de Peralta but you’ll find it brimming with locals getting their Mexican and New Mexican food.
Plaza Cafe-Like a diner, the Plaza Cafe has a big menu that appeals to all eaters. While you can get huevos rancheros or a breakfast burrito the size of your head, you can also opt for one of the best Greek salads you will ever have. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the Plaza Cafe is the perfect spot for a single diner or a group. They also have a location on the south side of town.
The Teahouse-With a diverse menu, everyone will find something to nosh on at The Teahouse. From salads to sandwiches and entrees, you won’t leave hungry.
Vinaigrette-When you need a hearty salad, this is where to go. But don’t think it’s a wimpy salad because Vinaigrette is anything but wimpy.
